The last day of my short but refreshing respite from winter. Today, I was joined by my brother and some of his family as we took a hike at the Orlando Wetlands Park. Technically part of the city’s waste water treatment process. it is a beautiful sanctuary for birds, alligators, and other wetland creatures and plants. While the hike itself is all flat and wide, the views of the wetlands and its ecology are remarkable. we picked a great day to go – not too hot and a lot of clouds making for interesting textures and colors in the sky and water. A very nice 5.5 mile walk to end a great trip.
And then I flew back to Michigan to 14″ of fresh snow on my Jeep at the airport. This is I-94 near Detroit in the evening.
