I have long admired the many images I have seen of night and star photography.  While I was at Zion, presumably in a great Dark Sky locale, I decided to give it a shot.  Rather than fumble around on my own, I booked a workshop with Kate at Enlighten Photography Excursions.  In this 4 hour session, she provided a great intro to the craft and I am excited to experiment more soon.

We photographed a couple locations near Zion, as well as the ghost town of Grafton.  Once it was over, I tested my new found skills by getting shots of the Zion National Park sign with a starry background.  I am happy with the results, though I still need to practice in order to get clearer shots.

Oh, and this was my first time seeing the Milky Way!
