Iceland Day 7: The Diamond Circle

Day 7 (May 20): Our longest day of driving day began as we completed the Diamond Circle with a stop at Goðafoss, a 100′ wide, 38′ tall beauty of a waterfall. While plenty of water was flowing, we could plainly see that the flows get much higher and would have loved to have seen that!

Just downstream and the same parking lot was Geitafoss.

A panoramic view of a rushing river flowing over rocks, with a waterfall visible in the distance under a clear blue sky.

From there, we took in the sights as we made our way far east to the Hellissandur Camping at Snæfellsjökull National Park, where we would spend the next two nights.
